Ehrenburg Sandbowl AZ

 

Ehrenburg is made up of hilly, sandy terrain and a network of roads and trails. This area provides a starting area for visitors to explore a variety of designated roads and trails.

PROPER SITE NAME:  Ehrenberg Sandbowl OHV Area 

DIRECTIONS TO SITE:  Use I-10 to Ehrenberg, AZ. Take Ehrenberg exit to South Frontage Road. Go West on frontage road approximately one mile. Turn left on gravel surfaced Ehrenberg/Cibola Road. Go south 3 miles to site entrance.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SITE:  A popular site for use of off road vehicles, with hilly, sandy terrain and a network of roads and trails.

FACILITIES PROVIDED:  Parking lot, unisex vault toilet, ramps for loading OHVs, shade remada and picnic table.

FEATURES:  This site provides a starting point for visitors to explore a variety of designated roads and trails. Dispersed camping is available nearby.

FEES/PERMITS REQUIRED:  The fee is $5 daily per vehicle or $75 annually per vehicle for up to 5 people per vehicle. There will be a $1 per person fee charged for each person over the 5 person limit. Visitors must pay daily fees at self-registration fee pipes located at the site or at the BLM Yuma Field Office located at 2555 E. Gila Ridge Road in Yuma. Annual permits are currently available for purchase at the Yuma Field Office.

LIMITATIONS:  Use is limited to day use only, 6am to 10pm.  No trash collection on site. Pack it in and pack it out. Please tread lightly.

ACCESSIBILITY:  Vault toilet is accessible.
