Leviathan ride area
Leviathan Recreation Area is located approximately 30 miles south of Carson City, Nevada.
Directions:
The Leviathan Recreation Area can be accessed from either 395 or Monitor Pass. The Leviathan Mine Road connects 395 to Monitor Pass.
To access from 395:
- Starting from the Ranger Station in Carson City, follow 395 South for
approximately 30 miles. You will pass the Fish Hatchery and the China
Springs Recreation Avea. Leviathan Mine Road is about 5 miles beyond China
Springs.
- Once past China Springs, beginning looking for the green sign on the
right side of the road: "Leviathan Mine Road.
- Turn right on Leviathan Mine Road (052).
Opportunities:
Leviathan boasts 50 miles of roads for the OHV enthusiast. Roads ratings range from easy to difficult.
Camping:
Leviathan offers numerous dispersed camping sites.
