McCubbins Gulch, OR
This trail is on the east side of Mt. Hood and winds through open pine and mixed conifer forests. Rolling terrain crossed by creeks and dotted by openings in the forest cover provide an interesting ride. Some areas afford views of Mt. Hood and of the Central Oregon High Desert. Follow marked trails only. Borders with Warm Spring Indian Reservation on the South and private land on the East.
McCubbins is a trail network designed for motorcycles. It is located on the east side of the Mt Hood National Forest off of roads 2130 and 2110 which are accessed via Hwy 216. Class One and Class Three ATV’s are allowed. Northwest Forest Pass is required.
Getting There: Take US Highway 26 to State Highway 216 and drive to the intersection of USFS Road 2110. Turn north and drive 1 mile to the 2110-230 spur and take that to the McCubbins Gulch Campground. The 2110 road approximates the eastern boundary of the riding area.
Trail Uses & Sizes: Approximately 30 miles of trail for Class
III ATVs.
