Elk Mountain Ride Review (zrider)

This place was defiantly more challenging then Knoxville.

While we were here we didn't ride too many trails, because the ones we did ride were long and hard. The trails were super rutted, but they were super fun too. It would be really hard to get a 4x4 quad down some of the trails. If it was even possible. The trails were hard so you had to be ready for anything. The hardest trail was a super rutted, really long trail that had a bridge in it. I saw the bridge and didn't think I would fit with my z400. I fit but if I was 3" wider I don't think I would of fit. That trail took a long long time to get through. I would do that trail again just because it was a workout to do it. It really worked your arms going through all of the ruts in the trail. There were plenty of good places to stop and take some good pictures...but my dad forgot film. We found a place that would challenge the skills of the best riders. I know I sure had a hard time on some of the trails. We ran into some dirt bikers here. They were nice guys. But they too suggested that we go to Stonyford where the sand rails make the trails wider. I would like to go there but I really don't like people telling us where we should be. Especially when the signs say quads are allowed. O-well what can I do. I guess quads aren't to big out here yet. And after a good day of riding I think we found a place that would challenge the skills of even the best riders.
